Those clergy such as I, who work in theological colleges, also did not ‘work’ on Christmas Day, although you would have found us gladly in church.

Even larger churches will usually only run one service on Christmas Day itself (possibly plus a midnight on Christmas Eve). Hence if there are multiple clergy in a single church, not all of them will necessarily be working.
